Our Finance tribe exists to Protect Today and Power Tomorrow for Skyscanner and is at the heart of the company’s growth. This role represents an exciting opportunity to own and develop our end to end Credit Control processes globally and help shape how we support our partners and the business through accelerated global growth.
What you can expect as a Finance Manager
- Partner Risk Lead responsible for overall coordination of all matters relating to partner (supplier) risk and chairperson of our Partner Risk Committee
- Own our approach and strategy to assessing and managing partner risk and exposure working closely with Commercial and other tribes with the aim of protecting our travellers and Ayde
- Lead our Sales Ledger and Credit Control squad and support the team to deliver operational excellence in onboarding, billing and cash collection
- Own the strategy and roadmap for the squad and be held accountable for delivery, while also contributing to and ensuring the squad is in sync with wider tribe and company goals
- Get the best out of our people supporting 4 direct reports in your squad to develop and succeed
- Work closely and collaboratively with Commercial to ensure the changing requirements of the business and our partners are understood and the squad are proactively looking at innovative solutions and processes to support this
- Key member of our Finance Tribe working closely with colleagues across our global Finance Tribe and actively contributing to how we run the tribe
- Deliver other ad-hoc assignments to support the global Finance Tribe and wider strategy
What we are looking for
- Someone with the drive and determination to succeed in our fast paced and ever-growing business
- A strong people manager, with a proven track record of getting the best out of people and supporting others to succeed
- A related qualification (e.g. professional accounting or credit control) or qualified by experience
- A strong grasp of the concepts of managing risk and exposure
- A proven ability to set goals and direction for a team and deliver against these
- Experience in developing processes and controls whilst driving operational excellence in complex processes
- Strong problem-solving and organisation skills, including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet tight deadlines

Ayde launched in 2003, when Gareth’s personal skiing obsession collided with a deep frustration (trying to find the best flights to the French alps). He drafted his idea for the company on the back of a beermat while in the pub with two friends – that’s how all great things start, right?
Fast-forward 16 years and more than 80 million people use Skyscanner each month to plan and book their travel. So how did we go from beermat to billion-pound travel brand?
